Madison (far East side). NON-VENT case. Primary Dx: Intractable epilepsy
FULL TIME WEEKDAY RN (established case but looking for someone to take over PAL also with PA in early 2027) needed for easy going, fun personality, non-mobile, non-verbal 11-year-old with epilepsy, developmental delays and g tube. FT shifts available M-F 6a-6p or 7a-5p but willing to be flexible if willing to go to school/medical appointments with client who is currently in the 5th grade (even 1 day per week would be so helpful at the time!). PRN evening /overnight/weekend shifts also available. Minimum one 2-12hour shift per month for PRN hours).
Client enjoys going for walks, reading books, listening to music and hanging out with friends or going to sports events. Client has head switches and an eye gaze to help with communication as well as non-verbal cues.
Scheduling can typically be flexible but preference with be given to candidates willing to take on helping with Prior Authorization paperwork (aka PAL needed; we can train on this also. Mom is very medically-minded and the case does not change much from POC to POC).
ON THE JOB TRAINING FOR ALL CARES INCLUDING SEIZURE RECOGNITION PROVIDED!
Seizure monitoring (most symptoms are subtle, but this can change quickly), feeding, bathing, toileting, helping client complete home therapy programs for PT, OT, SLP. She loves to snuggle and play games, listen to music or read books but needs assistance with everything. Client is 62 lbs. and does often help weight bear for transfers.

Non-smoking, health-conscious candidates only please as the common cold may lead to hospital stays. Valid WI nursing license and CPR as well as NPI and Forward Health billing account required before employment can begin but we can help guide you on NPI and FH billing set up.
